Last week, we welcomed members old and new to Rush Farm to update them on progress and to hold our annual general meeting.
There was a positive feeling in the room as plans for the future were discussed as well as the more formal matters of business. All agreed that the year ahead was going to be an exciting one!
The sun was shining and many members took the opportunity to walk around the beautiful farmland. Adrian, our Estate Manager, chatted to many people about the flora and fauna, including sightings of hares and rare birds.
Sebastian, founder and director of Stockwood CBS said: “It was a lovely day, the Spring weather was beautiful, the lambs were gambolling and everyone was happy. The project makes sense and we just need to spread the word far and wide!”
We were also joined by the Biodynamic Association and ethical clothing and homeware company, Liv, who were offering members a great discount. Many members also decided to take home some of our delicious frozen meat.
The day was enjoyed by the members, there was a buzz in the air. It’s exciting when a project first gets the feeling of beginning to be established – a settling-in feeling – and everyone was proud to be part of it. There are lots and lots of plans and lots of ways to join in and be part of Stockwood CBS – so watch this space!
