We went to Parliament

Last month, the Stockwood team were invited to the Houses of Parliament for a very special event: Farmers in Parliament.

We were there along with lots of other brilliant farmers and food producers to meet MPs and Peers. We had lots of great conversation about the work we’re doing and the opportunities for sustainable farming across the UK. It’s really important we take our message direct to the seat of power so MPs, Peers and their staff can see what is possible – and I think we did a great job of it.

The ‘Farmers in Parliament’ event It was hosted by Kerry McCarthy MP on behalf of the All Party Parliamentary Group on Agroecology for Sustainable Food and Farming (who do a lot of great work in Parliament) and was attended by lots of people including Dragon’s Den’s Deborah Meaden and Farming Minister George Eustice MP.

It was great day for us and was lovely to meet lots of new people who were interested in getting involved in Rush Farm.
